Various Square D Plug on Neutral (PON) Loadcentres by Schneider Electric recalled due to potential fire hazard

Issue

The affected units could overheat, potentially posing a fire hazard.

 

As of May 25 2022, the company has received one report of an incident in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received one report of incident and no reports of injuries.

 

Affected products

This recall involves various Square D Plug on Neutral (PON) Loadcentres by Schneider Electric. Date codes can be found on the packaging label and on the interior of the product.  Consumers can contact Schneider Electric for any assistance in determining whether or not their home Loadcentre is affected.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately contact Schneider Electric Canada to arrange for an inspection.

Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Schneider Electric Canada.
