Proof of vaccination is no longer required for approved essential care partners (family support persons/caregivers) at Nova Scotia Health facilities.

Given the high level of vaccination rates in Nova Scotia, as well as other protective measures in place in health care facilities, Nova Scotia Health is changing its approach to allow more opportunities for essential care partners to support patients in hospital where it is feasible and safe to do so within public health guidelines.
