Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax last night.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery in progress at the Irving Service Station located at 5450 Inglis St. in Halifax.​

A man came into the store and produced a knife and demanded money and cigarettes.​ After collecting cigarettes and money, the man fled the store on foot.​ No staff or members of the public were injured during this incident.​

The suspect is described as a white man, 25-30 years old,​ 5’9″ tall, with a slim build. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a green cloth mask, a grey bucket hat, a green ‘VANS’ T-shirt, black pants and bright red sneakers.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
