Police charge two men for drug trafficking

Police have charged two men with drug trafficking in relation to a search last week in Halifax.

On May 10 at approximately 10:15 p.m. investigators in the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and patrol officers in Central Division conducted a search of a residence on Romans Avenue. Investigators seized a quantity of cocaine and pills. Two people were arrested at the scene without incident.

Jason Dennis James Weagle, 44, appeared in Halifax Provincial Court to face two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. A 37-year-old man was released and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face one count of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
