UPDATE: RV recovered following break and enter
Pictou County District RCMP has recovered the recreational vehicle taken during a break and enter from a property on Shady Ln. in Pictou Landing.
On May 15, after receiving information from the public, the Pictou County District RCMP successfully recovered the recreational vehicle that was reported stolen during a break and enter.
On May 13, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at a home on Shady Ln. in Pictou Landing. Officers learned that an RV had been taken along with numerous firearms, including:
- Smith & Wesson Silver .22 caliber handgun;
- Ruger single action .22 caliber handgun;
- Browning .300 Winchester rifle with a dark wood finish;
- Savage 12-gauge pistol grip shotgun.
Other items taken from the property included a blue Honda FourTrax ATV, a black Stack-On firearms safe a 60” television, a fridge, a small utility trailer and a significant quantity of hunting and fishing gear.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by the Pictou County District RCMP with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, the RCMP police dog services and the National Weapons Enforcement Team.
