Police charge man with trespassing

Police have charged a man in relation to an incident involving vehicles and residences early this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. officers responded to a report of a man who was in the area of the 5600 block of North Street and was attempting to gain entry into residences and unoccupied vehicles. Officers located the man inside a vehicle that was parked in the area. The man was arrested after a brief struggle in which he threatened the officers. Officers seized a knife that the man had in his possession.

Glenn William Paulette, 30, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of:

  • Trespass at night
  • Uttering threats to cause death
  • Assault a peace officer (x 2)
  • Resist arrest
  • Obstruction
  • Failure to comply with conditions of release order
  • Possession weapon for dangerous purpose
