RCMP investigating single vehicle crash on Hwy. 104
Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating after a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 104 in Atkinson.
On March 28, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Cumberland County District RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 104 in Atkinson. RCMP learned that a transport truck had been travelling east on Hwy. 104 when it left the road way and came to rest on its side.
The driver and lone occupant, a 58-year-old Prince Edward Island man, suffered injuries and was trapped in the vehicle for an extended period of time before the fire department could extricate him. The man was transported to hospital by Lifeflight.
Hwy. 104 was shut down for several hours but has since reopened.
The investigation is continuing.
