NS SPCA Adoptable Highlight – Aello

Aello has been in a foster home for the past few months. She is a semi-feral cat who was very nervous at the shelter. In her forever home, it will take her time to come around. Aello may never be your typical lap cat, but enjoys affection on her terms. She is still young at around 3 years old, and is searching for a particular home.​

Aello would do best in a home with older children (16+) due to her nervous nature. She also needs to be the only pet. Even though she gets along well with other cats, adding other felines to the home can cause unseen stress prompting her cystitis to return. She loves her cat tree and being perched on high places. Once she’s laying down and comfortable you can pet her head, but she’s not a fan of being picked up. She requires a quiet home with a family/person willing to give her the calm safe environment she will thrive in.​

Aello loves to play with toys, chase a laser pointer, and cat nip. She is terrified of the vaccum.

She has a history of cystitis and needs to be on Urinary S/O canned (or st/ox canned) exclusively, with added water. No dry food. To help prevent her cystitis from reoccurring. You can read more about it here:​
