Death ruled a homicide

The suspicious death that occurred yesterday at​ a residence​ on Kennedy Drive in Dartmouth has been ruled a homicide.

On December 16 at approximately 7:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a suspicious death at a residence on Kennedy Drive. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and has ruled the death a homicide. The victim​ has been identified as​ 47-year-old​ Vincent Lamont Beals.​

The investigation, led by the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and including Forensic Identification officers, is ongoing and officers remain on scene of the residence.
