Police request the public’s assistance in October 29 shooting investigation

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in relation to the investigation into a shooting that occurred last month in Dartmouth.

On October 29 at approximately 7:50 p.m. police responded to a report of shots fired in the 0-100 block of Roleika Drive. Witnesses reported that the suspect appeared to be shooting at people in a Mazda 3 that was in a parking lot adjacent to an apartment building. The Mazda 3 had left the parking lot and the suspect had fled the area on foot prior to officers arriving on scene. There were no reports of injuries and another unoccupied vehicle in the same parking lot sustained damage from bullets.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 5’5” tall with a thin build and wearing dark clothing.

Police are releasing pictures of the Mazda 3 and ask anyone with information in relation to the vehicle to contact police. The vehicle is described as a mid-2000 beige Mazda 3 sedan.
