Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrants

Colchester County District RCMP and Pictou County District RCMP have obtained warrants for the arrest of a man charged with numerous offences relating to incidents that occurred on July 1, 2021 and October 17, 2021.

Marcus Michael Denny,​ 22, of Pictou Landing First Nation, is charged with:

  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Assault with a Weapon – Section 267(a) CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – Section 88 CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Section 320.14(1)(a) CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Impaired Operation over 80mg% – Section 320.14(1)(b) CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Resisting Arrest – Section 129(a) CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Obstructing a Peace Officer – Section 129(a) CC;
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Failure to Comply with a Condition of a Release Order – Section 145(5)(a) CC;

Denny is also wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant related to a homicide that occurred in Truro in September 2021. This warrant was obtained by the Truro Police Service.

Police have made several attempts to locate Marcus Denny, however are requesting assistance from the public.
