Police seek owner of found money
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in returning found money to its rightful owner.
On October 3, 2021 at approximately 1:20 p.m. a man attended Police Headquarters to turn in a quantity of cash that he had just found on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Garden Street in Halifax.
Police are asking the owner, or anyone who may have information about the money, to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or using the P3 Tips App.
To claim the money, you must be able to specify the denomination of the bills and the total amount of cash.
We commend the citizen for doing the right thing and turning the money in to police.
