Police respond to suspicious circumstances ​

Halifax Regional Police responded to a suspicious circumstance call in Halifax earlier this week.

On September 29 at approximately 10:15 p.m. a man approached a 15-year-old youth who was walking on St. Pauls Street in Halifax. The man attempted to get the youth to go with him, and when the youth refused, he attempted to grab the youth. The youth ran away and reported the incident to a trusted adult.

The suspect is described as in his thirties, approximately 5’5” tall, 140 lbs. with short curly black hair, a full beard and a mustache. He was wearing a red shirt and black pants at the time of the incident.

Police are looking to speak with the man or anyone who may have information in relation to his identity or this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
