RCMP charge an 18-year-old driver travelling 210km/hr in Grand Lake Road
Northeast Traffic Services charged an 18-year-old man from Baddeck with stunting in Grand Lake Road.
On September 6 at approximately 10:35 p.m., police registered a car travelling at 210 km/hr on the westbound lane of Hwy. 125. The officer was unable to pull-over the car due to the divider in the highway and informed officers in the area. Shortly after, the same car was seen in the eastbound lanes driving at 187 km/hr in the 100 km/hr zone. The driver was stopped, ticketed and had his licence and vehicle seized for 7 days.
The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50 for a first offence, six points on your license and an immediate seven-day roadside license suspension.
