Potential exposure to COVID-19 at four locations in Central Zone and one West Jet flight
Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 at four locations in the Central Zone and on one West Jet flight. In addition to media releases, all potential exposure notifications are listed here: http://www.nshealth.ca/covid-exposures.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ to book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms. You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Moderate risk exposures
Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following locations on the named dates and times for at least 15 minutes are required to follow the self-isolation instructions noted in this table for a moderate risk exposure, based on your vaccination status. COVID-19 testing is also recommended. If you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.
- Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub (1645 Argyle St., Halifax) on August 27 between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 10.
- Stubborn Goat Beer Garden (1599 Lower Water St., Halifax) on August 27 between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 10.
- Edna’s Restaurant (2053 Gottingen St, Halifax) on August 28 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 11.
- Stubborn Goat Gastro Pub (1579 Grafton St., Halifax) on August 29 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 12.
High risk exposures
Anyone who was on the following flights in the specified rows and seats are required to follow the isolation and testing instructions in this table as a high risk contact.
- West Jet 392 travelling on August 29 from Edmonton (10:30 p.m.) to Halifax (6:23 a.m. August 30) Passengers in rows 1 to 3, seats C, D, E and F. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 13.

Please note:
Please get tested at a primary assessment centre or public health mobile unit; do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
Nova Scotians also have the option to access their results online at c19results.nshealth.ca/. To be eligible to receive results online, by email or by auto call, you need to bring a provincial health card or student ID with you to your testing appointment. It can take up to 72 hours to receive or access test results. It is not unusual for two or more family members to be tested at the same time and receive results at different times.
