Potential exposures to COVID-19 at locations in Northern, Eastern and Central zone and on one Air Canada flight
Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 at locations in the Northern, Central and Eastern zones and on one Air Canada flight. In addition to media releases, all potential exposure notifications are listed here: http://www.nshealth.ca/covid-exposures.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ to book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms. You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Low risk exposures
For the following locations, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
- Foster Field – Little League Complex (47 Croft St., Amherst) on Aug. 16 between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Aug. 30.
- Landry Field – Little League Complex (47 Croft St., Amherst) on Aug. 18 between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 1.
- Sobeys (612 Main St., Dartmouth) on Aug. 20 between 3:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 3.
- Costco (137 Countryview Dr., Dartmouth) on Aug. 22 between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 5.
- Superstore (920 Cole Harbour Rd., Dartmouth) on Aug. 22 between 3:55 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 5.
- Walmart (90 Lamont Terrace, Dartmouth) on Aug. 22 between 4:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 5.
- BackEast Seafood truck (3072 Post Rd., Antigonish) on Aug. 21 between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 4.
High risk exposure
Anyone who was on the following flight in the specified rows and seats are required to follow the isolation and testing instructions in this table as a high risk contact.
- Air Canada 612 travelling on Aug. 22 from Toronto (4:50 p.m.) to Halifax (7:51 p.m.). Passengers in rows 28 to 34 seats A, C and D. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, Sept. 5.

Please note:
Please get tested at a primary assessment centre or public health mobile unit; do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
Nova Scotians also have the option to access their results online at c19results.nshealth.ca/. To be eligible to receive results online, by email or by auto call, you need to bring a provincial health card or student ID with you to your testing appointment. It can take up to 72 hours to receive or access test results. It is not unusual for two or more family members to be tested at the same time and receive results at different times.
