Road Construction – Cow Bay Road
Location: Cow Bay from Dyke Road (Northeast End) to Bissett Road
Date: Wednesday, Aug. 11
Time: 8 a.m. to 12 noon
Work details: This work is for pavement rehabilitation. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Cutler Avenue
Location: Cutler Avenue, from Wilkinson to Jim Connors avenues
Date: Wednesday, Aug. 11 and Thursday, Aug. 12 (weather permitting)
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day
Work details: This work is for pavement rehabilitation. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Rolling closures and marked detours will be in place while work is underway. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Barrington Street near the intersection of North Street
Date: Wednesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 12
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day

Date: Tuesday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Aug. 13
Time: From noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10 (inbound lanes only), and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Wednesday, Aug. 11 to Friday, Aug. 13.

Road Construction – Barrington Street
Location: Barrington Street outbound, underneath the Upper Water Street/Cogswell overpass

Work details: This work is to install boreholes and monitoring wells. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Outbound traffic on Barrington street after Duke street will be reduced to one lane for a short distance. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Beaver Harbour Road, Beaver Harbour
Beaver Harbour Road, from Trunk 7 southerly for three kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant
Dillmans Bridge on Wyse Road is closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111
Paving at exits 4 and 11 on Highway 111 is expected to be complete Friday, Aug. 13.
Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Detours will be in place periodically.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Peggys Point Road, Peggy’s Cove
Peggys Point Road, from the Visitor Information Centre west for about one kilometre, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Friday, Aug. 13.
Work to take place from sunrise to sunset.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The detour has a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour and is expected to be in place until mid-summer.
The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road is expected to be complete and open to traffic by fall.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103
Highway 103, between Exits 9 and 10, has alternating lane closures for roadwork until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Eastbound Lanes
Highway 104 eastbound between exits 20 and 21 is reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Highway 104, Port Hawkesbury
Highway 104, 880 metres west of Exit 44 for about 2.7 kilometres westerly, is reduced to one lane for paving until Saturday, Aug. 14.
Traffic control is on site. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
