Curt Ball & Pintle Hitch recalled due to potential separation of towed vehicle

Common name: Curt Ball and Pintle Hitch, part numbers 48190 and 48200

Product description: This voluntary recall involves certain Curt Manufacturing Forged Ball and Pintle Hitches with part numbers 48190 and 48200 and UPC 612314519002 and 612314520015, respectively. The hitch has a gloss black powder coat finish.

Hazard identified: The pivot hole is out of position, which can limit the locking jaw engagement. This may allow the upper jaw to unlatch and a towed vehicle to separate, resulting in the risk of a crash.
