The Municipality of East Hants will be providing drinking water this evening (June 10, 2021) for residents who cannot use their water due to the ongoing advisory for Grand Lake.

The Municipality of East Hants will be providing drinking water this evening (June 10, 2021) for residents who cannot use their water due to the ongoing advisory for Grand Lake.

  • Water will be provided for free at the East Hants Aquatic Centre (14 Commerce Court, Elmsdale) between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Residents must bring their own containers to fill with water.
  • Please follow public health protocols on site including wearing a mask and physical distancing.
  • The water is sourced from our water utility which remains safe to drink for all municipal water users.

We continue to monitor the water advisory and await updates from Nova Scotia Environment. We understand this is a concerning time for residents whose direct water source is Grand Lake and will have more information on continued water access if needed. Please keep on following the Province’s orders and stay up to date here.
