Police investigate homicide in Yarmouth

The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in Yarmouth.

At approximately​ 11:30​ p.m. on May​ 24, Yarmouth Town RCMP were called to a home on King St. for a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Police located a 41-year-old man outside the home. EHS attended, but the man succumbed to his injuries.

Chester St. is currently closed. The investigation is continuing and is being led by the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit, with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Yarmouth GIS and Yarmouth Town members.
