Police Investigate Vehicle Collision – Dartmouth

At 4:22 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle collision involving a car and pickup truck at the intersection of Portland Street and Spring Avenue, Dartmouth.​ The adult female driver and 5-year-old child in the car sustained life-threatening injuries.​ Both have been transported to the hospital.​ The driver of the truck was not injured.​

The investigation is in the early stages and investigators with the Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section and are conducting the investigation.​ At this time it is not known if charges are pending.

Traffic Blocked: All East bound (out bound) traffic on Portland Street is blocked Eisener Blvd and Portland Estates Blvd/Spring Avenue.​ Traffic will remain blocked for an extended period of time.​
