Police Investigate Arson

Police are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred early this morning in Dartmouth.

At 12:45 a.m. on May 19th, officers responded to a report of suspicious fire located at a residence in the 0-100 block of Walker Street in Dartmouth.

It was first reported that 2 vehicles were on fire. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded along with police. It was quickly determined that 6 vehicles were involved and damaged by fire. 4 were parked in a residence and 2 on the roadway.

No one was injured in this fire. The investigation thus far leads investigators to believe the fire was deliberately set.

The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 6’0” tall wearing cargo shorts. There was also a vehicle seen leaving the nearby area that is thought to be related. It was described as an older model, dark colored Toyota Corolla.​ ​
