Common name: StaRite and Mastertemp Pool Heaters
Product description: This recall involves certain StaRite and Mastertemp gas fired pool heaters with a specific model number that were manufactured between December 22, 2020 to January 6, 2021. The model number and manufacture date are located on the white label on the back of the heater. Not all units manufactured during this time period are affected.

Hazard identified: A connection in the heater can leak the combustible air-gas mixture, posing a fire hazard. As of March 23, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected product and contact Pentair Water Pool and Spa, Inc. to arrange for a free service visit to have the nuts tightened to the specified torque.
