Police seek public’s assistance finding lost property

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating property that was lost in Halifax yesterday.

At approximately 5:20 p.m. a man was walking in the area of the food court at Scotia Square Mall and dropped a small red bag containing a number of pieces of jewelry. Shortly thereafter, another man came along and picked up the bag. He spoke to a number of people in the area and then left the mall with the bag.

The man is described as tanned, average height and build. He was wearing a grey baseball hat, a grey sweater, a red shirt and khaki cargo pants, and was carrying a green reusable shopping bag.
