Multi-agency safety enforcement initiative in New Glasgow

 

On March 31, 2021, New Glasgow Regional Police and the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal’s Vehicle Transportation Inspection Division participated in a joint enforcement operation. Checkpoints were set up in throughout the Town of New Glasgow. Over 150 vehicles were checked for compliance during the three hour operation, which resulted in:

5 Drivers charged with Operating Vehicle Without Valid Inspection Sticker.

2 Drivers Charged With Violating Regulations Standards in relation to Window Tinting.

1 Driver Charged With Operating Unregistered Vehicle.

1 Vehicle Towed.

4 Re-Inspection Orders Issued.

4 Motor Vehicle Act Related Warnings.
