Special weather statement in effect via Environment Canada
A prolonged period of rain at times heavy is likely.
Total rainfall: more than 50 mm.
Locations: coastal Nova Scotia from Digby County to Guysborough County
Time span: Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.
Remarks: Rain at times heavy will likely begin in southwestern Nova Scotia near noon on Thursday and then spread eastward reaching eastern Nova Scotia by Thursday evening. This area of rain is expected to persist over most of Nova Scotia Thursday night, Friday, Friday night and into Saturday. Over this period of time, more than 50 millimetres of rain is expected over these areas. Some areas may receive significantly higher amounts than 50 millimetres of rainfall.
