Police request public’s assistance identifying suspect in sexual assault

Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a man in relation to a sexual assault that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 12:10 p.m. a man approached a teenage male who was not known to him and attempted to touch him in a sexual manner. The incident occurred on a walking trail in the area of the 200 block of Thomas Raddall Drive.

The suspect is described as a white man, 60 to 70 years old, medium build, approximately 5’8” and balding with grey hair on the sides of his head. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a blue hooded jacket, jeans and black sneakers or boots. He was driving a grey Kia sedan.
