(Found) Missing person: Help the RCMP find​ Stephen Armstrong

Update: Missing person found deceased

A​ 48-year-old man from Melvern Square who was reported missing on January 31​ has been located deceased.

Yesterday evening, a vehicle matching the description of the missing man was located on the Squirreltown Rd. During a search of a wooded area near the vehicle, human remains were found.

The death is not believed to be suspicious in nature, however, the investigation is ongoing.

Annapolis County District RCMP is asking for the​ public’s assistance to locate 48-year-old Stephen Armstrong who was last seen January 30 at Melvern Square at approximately 8 a.m.

Stephen Armstrong is described as 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with short blonde hair. Armstrong has a scar on his left cheek and was last seen wearing a grey and black jacket and jeans.​ Armstrong may be driving a white 2008 GMC Sierra with Nova Scotia plate number BWF382.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
