Product description: This recall includes the following HEXO branded Disposable Vape Pens: HEXO Durban All-in-One Disposable Vape Pen with the following lot identification numbers:

  • AAA-112830-A
  • AAA-112830-B
  • AAA-112830-C
  • AAA-112703
  • AAA-112723

HEXO Blue Dream All-in-One Disposable Vape Pen with the following lot identification numbers:

  • AAA-112821-A
  • AAA-112821-B
  • AAA-112705
  • AAA-112725

HEXO Trainwreck All–in-One Disposable Vape Pen with the following lot identification numbers:

  • AAA-112787-A
  • AAA-112787-B
  • AAA-112787-C
  • AAA-112787-D
  • AAA-112704
  • AAA-112724

Hazard identified: The recalled products contain a mechanical defect whereby the auto turn-off mechanism can fail. This results in continuous battery engagement, generating excessive heat in the device which in turn can cause the plastic shell of the pen to melt. As of January 18, 2021, the company has received 3 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries in Canada or elsewhere.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to the point of sale for a full refund. Clients registered for medical purposes who received the product will be contacted by HEXO directly.
