HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Peggys Point Road, Peggy’s Cove
Peggys Point Road, from the Visitor Information Centre west for about one kilometre, will be reduced to one lane until March.
Work to take place from sunrise to sunset.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The detour has a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour and is expected to be in place until mid-summer.
The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road is expected to be complete and open to traffic by fall.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103
Highway 103, between Exit 9 and 10, will have alternating lane closures for road work until Wednesday, June 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Highway 103, from Camperdown School Road to the Lunenburg Queens county line, will have alternating lane closures for roadwork until Sunday, Jan 31.

Traffic Signal Repairs – Intersection of Pleasant and Portland streets
Location: Intersection of Pleasant and Portland streets
Date: Friday, Feb. 5, 2021
Time: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: The replacement of two traffic signal poles
Traffic impact: The traffic signals at the intersection of Pleasant and Portland streets will be shut down while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct motorists, cyclists and pedestrians around the work site while the signals are shut down. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Cogswell Street
Location: Cogswell Street between Robie and North Park streets
Date: Thursday, Feb. 4 and Friday, Feb. 5
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day
Work details: Drilling work for an environmental assessment in support of a municipal project
Traffic impact: Two-way traffic will be maintained while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Work details: Surveying work
Traffic impact: One lane of traffic will be maintained while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: 6074 Cunard Street
Date: Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: Natural gas service installation
Traffic impact: Two-way traffic with an altered centerline will be maintained while work is underway. Motorists should expect minor delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Lane closure – Quinpool Road
Location: Quinpool Road (inbound) at the intersection of Robie Street.
Date: Tuesday, Jan. 26.
Time: From 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Work details: To accommodate work taking place at the Atlantica Hotel.
Traffic impact: The right-turn lane on Quinpool Road (inbound) at the intersection of Robie Street will be fully closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of this work. Traffic control will be in. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Traffic Delay – Bayers Road
Location: Bayers Road, between Connolly and Oxford streets
Date: Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day
Work details: Nova Scotia Power utility pole work
Traffic impact: The sidewalk will be closed and lane drops near 6459 Bayers Road will be in place while work is underway. Residents should expect minor delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Construction During COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.
