At approximately 6:00 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to an assault in progress in the 0-100 block of the Bedford Highway.
A 39 year old male has been charged with a number of offences including three counts of assault, assault with a weapon, three counts of uttering threats and breach of release order. The 39 year old male victim did not suffer any injuries and the males are not known to one another. The incident occurred after the accused exited a Metro Transit Bus and confronted the victim. The accused assaulted the victim then presented an edged weapon threatening the victim. The accused then attempted to flee from the area and was located a short distance away and taken into custody.
The accused will be appearing in court on December 15th 2020.
