Police investigating suspicious circumstances

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a report of suspicious circumstances that occurred in Clayton Park on November 5th.

Police received a report that at approximately 12:30 p.m. a man approached a girl who was on a walking path near Woodward Avenue and Clayton Park Drive. The man tried to get the girl to go to his vehicle with him and then grabbed her by the arm when she tried to walk away. The girl was able to flee the area and tell a trusted adult what had happened.

The suspect is described as a man approximately 30-40 years old, 5’10” with a dark complexion and stocky build. At the time he was wearing a long black coat with the hood up over his head, large black sunglasses, a black non-medical mask, black sweat pants and black sneakers.

Police investigate bank robbery.

Patrol investigators & investigators of the General Investigation Section are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Halifax on November 6th.

Just after 3pm., a man entered the TD Bank located at 5495 Spring Garden Road Halifax. The man stated he had a weapon, (although none was seen) and demanded cash. The man attempted to flee the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash when an enclosed dye pack discharged causing him to drop the money before fleeing.​

He was last seen traveling on Spring Garden Road. The matter is still in the early stages of investigation.

The suspect is described as a male having a “tanned complexion”, 6 feet tall and wearing a black toque.
