Weekly Traffic Advisories (Oct 30)

Note:  Each week the local listings are expanded and updated.  During the week new and updated tasks are added.  Every week a new post is started with fresh info but previous posts may be still valid.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant

Dillmans Bridge, on Wyse Road in Meaghers Grant, will be closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.



HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Peggys Point Road, Peggy’s Cove

Peggys Point Road, Peggy’s Cove, from the Visitor Information Centre west for about one kilometre, will be reduced to one lane until March 2021.

Work to take place from sunrise to sunset.



HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Perrin Drive, Fall River

Perrin Drive, Fall River, from Trunk 2 to 300 metres east of 107 Perrin Dr., will be reduced to one lane for roadwork until Saturday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101, Windsor, from Exit 5 to Exit 6, will be reduced to one lane for roadwork until Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Traffic control is on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.



HANTS COUNTY: Wentworth Road, Highway 101

Wentworth Road, Windsor, will be closed at the Highway 101 overpass for roadwork until 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.

Detour via Highway 101. Signage is in place.

Nova Terrace – Traffic Delay

Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 (Halifax, NS) 

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect delays on Nova Terrace, between Caldwell Road and Grenadier Drive, on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Crews will be on site from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.​ Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.

Caldwell Road – Traffic Delay

Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 (Halifax, NS) 

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect delays on Caldwell Road, between Hampton Green and Nova Terrace, on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Crews will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.​ Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.

Astral Drive – Traffic Delay

Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 (Halifax, NS)

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect delays on Astral Drive, between Caldwell Road and Parkedge Crescent, on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Crews will be on site from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.​ Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.

Highway 7 – Road Construction

Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 (Halifax, NS) 

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Highway 7, between Forest Hills Parkway and Montague Road, on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Crews will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Vernon Street – Road Closure

Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 (Halifax, NS) 

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Vernon Street, between Coburg Road and Watt Street, will be closed on Monday, Nov. 2 and Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. A marked detour will be in place while work is underway. Pedestrian traffic will be directed around the work site as necessary.​

Joseph Howe Drive and Bayers Road – Traffic Delay

Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 (Halifax, NS) 

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect delays at the intersection of Joseph Howe Drive and Bayers Road, from Saturday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 1.

Crews will be on site from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Two-way traffic will be maintained while work is underway.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.​

Your patience is appreciated while this work is completed.

Construction During COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to provide at least two metres of physical distancing.
