Police charge man for home invasion
Police have charged a man in relation to home invasion that occurred in Halifax last week.
At approximately 6 a.m. on October 22 police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at a residence on Danforth Road in Halifax.
Two men, one of whom was armed with what was believed to be a firearm broke in to a residence and demanded money from the resident. The victim was able to flee the residence without being physically injured. This is not a random incident as one of the suspects is known to the victim
At approximately 5 a.m. on October 23 officers arrested the man who had been in possession of the firearm at a residence in Halifax.
Troy Robert Hann, 41, of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause death
- Careless use of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order
- Breaking and enter
The second suspect is described at a white man who is described approximately 5’11”, 150 lbs. with red curly hair.
Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Section continue to investigate the case.
