Update – DNR have brought in a helicopter to the Shearwater Flyer trail to assist after an alleged animal attack on a hiker earlier on the trail, closed between Caldwell and Bissett.
Update – Resources say they will likely be in the area for quite some time investigating after an alleged animal attack occurred earlier in the Shearwater Flyer trail, which will remain closed between Caldwell to Bissett. A DNR helicopter will be doing aerial patrols in the area.
Update – Conservation Officers have placed “bear in area” sidnd at the Shearwater Flyer trail off Caldwell Rd.
An alleged animal attack happened in the area much earlier and the area remains closed

The trail will be closed from here to Bissett Lake while the investigation is ongoing. More information when available
