Today is International Firefighters’ Day, observed each year on 4th May
You are invited to remember the past firefighters who have died while serving their community or dedicated their lives to protecting the safety of us all. At the same time, we can show our support and appreciation to the firefighters world wide who continue to protect us so well throughout the year.
Thank you to the HRFE, past and present, and to all firefighters both local and far.

Today is International Firefighters’ Day. This was a day started in recognition of the service and sacrifice made by firefighters, following a tragic bushfire in Linton, Australia. Five firefighters: Matthew Armstrong, Chris Evans, Stuart Davidson, Gary Vredeveldt and Jason Thomas, members of the Geelong West Fire Brigade, died in service to their community while fighting that fire.
Today we recognize the sacrifice and contribution that firefighters everywhere make.
