Crosswalk Safety Community Meeting and Awareness Walk
Community safety is everyone’s responsibility. Given the recent rise in vehicle-pedestrian collisions, pedestrian safety needs to be addressed by all levels of Government, non-governmental organizations, individual citizens, pedestrians, and motorists alike. Not only should citizens have the opportunity to address their safety concerns to their local officials, but those officials should, in turn, respond to those concerns so that both parties can better understand the issues and actions taken.
Have your voice heard, share your stories, give your feedback, and feel inspired to advocate for change.
We will then walk from the Zatzman Sportsplex to the Wyse Road Parkette at Boland Road and back to the Sportsplex. You may bring signs for the awareness walk if you wish, but make them child-friendly, please.
