Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred last night in Halifax.

At approximately 9:24 p.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Ultramar Gas Station located at 2816 Gottingen Street in Halifax.  A man entered the store, threatened staff and stole cigarettes and money. Staff member working at the time was not physically injured. The suspect fled on foot Westbound on Almon Street.

The suspect is described as white man in his 30’s wearing a black jacket with a beige hooded sweatshirt, black pants and beige shoes. A black jacket belonging to the suspect was located on nearby Black Street, near Northwood Terrace.

Anyone with information about this incident, video from the area or the identity of the suspect is asked to call police at 902-490-5016.
