This Nova Scotia Heritage Day is in honour of the legacy of Nora Bernard, a member of the Millbrook First Nation and a tireless advocate for Residential School Survivors
Nora founded an organization that paved the way for a class action lawsuit, changing the path of justice and recognition for Survivors. As part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the importance of this day and Nora Bernard’s contributions. Visit https://brnw.ch/21wQKB1 to learn more about her life and work.
While many of us enjoy Heritage Day as a holiday away from work, we want to take a moment to recognize our members and others in our communities who are hard at work today. Your service is deeply appreciated.
