Weekly Traffic Advisories (7 Feb)

**** Municipal Release

Traffic Delay – St Margarets Bay Road

Location: St Margarets Bay Road, between Quarry Road and Crescent Avenue

Date: Monday Feb. 17

Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work details: This is required for a utility pole replacement.

Traffic impact: Fenwood Road, between St Margarets Bay Road and Shady Lane and Coronet Avenue, between St Margarets Bay Road and Crown Drive will be closed while work is underway with local access maintained.

Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Signed detours and traffic control personnel will be on site to guide motorists through the work area. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Partial Street Closure – Robie Street

Location: Robie Street, northbound from Spring Garden Road to Bliss Street

Date: Saturday, Feb. 8

Time: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Work details: This work is required to support the installation of a crane to remove and replace a large chiller on the top floor of a building in the area.

Traffic impact: Robie Street, northbound between Spring Garden Road and Bliss Street will be closed to traffic while work is underway. A detour will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Road Construction – Lawerencetown Road

Location: Lawerencetown Road, in front of civic address 2800

Date: Tuesday Feb. 11

Time: 9 a.m. to noon

Work details: This work is required to replace segments of compromised guiderail. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while this work is underway.

Traffic Delay – Bluewater Road

Location: Bluewater Road, between Larry Uteck Boulevard and 241 Bluewater Road

Date: Monday, Feb. 10

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work Details: The work is needed for a utility installation on Bluewater Road.

Traffic Impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Road Closure – Jubilee Road

Location: Jubilee Road between Vernon and Robie streets

Date: Feb. 3 to Feb. 16

Time: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work details: This closure is in support of tree pruning, as well as the installation of utility poles and overhead wire for new developments.

Traffic impact: Local traffic will be allowed from Vernon, Henry and Edward streets. Jubilee Road will not be accessible from Robie Street. The north sidewalk on Jubilee Road will remain open during construction. The south sidewalk on Jubilee Road will be closed.

Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Prince Albert Road

Location: Prince Albert Road, between Ochterloney and Pleasant streets

Date: Saturday, Feb. 8

Time: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work details: This is required for a utility pole replacement.

Traffic impact: A signed detour will be in place for vehicles. Traffic control will be on site to help direct motorists through the work area. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

NEW WORK

 

YARMOUTH COUNTY: Pembroke Bridge, Yarmouth

 

Pembroke Bridge on Pembroke Road will be closed for replacement from Monday, February 10, until Sunday, August 31.

 

Detour signs are in place.

 

 

CONTINUING WORK

 

 

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River

 

The Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.

 

The detours are Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

 

 

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche

 

Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

 

 

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame

 

The Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
