Police Investigate Robbery & Arrest Suspect

At 12:35 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Irving gas station, 5450 Inglis Street, Halifax.​ A male entered the business producing a pointed stick and demanded money from the cashier.​ The staff member disarmed the suspect.​ The suspect did not get any cash or product and then fled on foot.​ No one involved was injured.​ ​

At 1:28 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance between two adult males at Inglis Street and Queen Street Halifax.​ Upon arrival officers recognized one of the males as the suspect from the Robbery and arrested the suspect without incident.​ ​

The suspect, a 49 year old male from Halifax is held for court and will be facing charges of Robbery, Breaching Probation Order and Failing to Comply with Release Orders.​
