**** Halifax Water Release
Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Halifax Water crews are on-site repairing a water main near 3280 Connaught Avenue in Halifax.
Water service is out on the even civic number side of Connaught Avenue between Edgewood Avenue and Regent Drive. Connaught Avenue inbound in the work zone near civic#3280 will be reduced to one lane traffic. The sidewalk in the work zone is closed. There is no estimate of water service restoration at this time.
Experienced traffic control personnel are on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
