Municipality publishes 2024 Municipal Election official candidate list
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the list of official candidates for the 2024 Municipal and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial Election has been published on halifax.ca/election.
Residents are reminded of the following opportunities to vote:
- Alternative voting will take place between Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 16. During alternative voting days, residents can vote electronically or by phone.
- Advance in-person voting will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Tuesday, Oct. 15. During advance polling days, residents can vote electronically at one of the municipality’s voting locations.
- Election day is on Saturday, Oct. 19. On election day, residents can vote in-person, using a paper ballot, at their local voting location.
Residents will be receiving their voter information letter in the coming weeks.
