Nova Scotia Health would like to clarify misinformation circulating about the emergency department at Digby General Hospital
There is no plan to reduce emergency services or restrict ambulance arrivals at the hospital. In fact, we are looking to enhance the focus on emergency services and better support the staff and physicians providing that care by exploring ways for other non-emergency services to be provided in more appropriate settings.
We will share updates as we continue to work to ensure patients are receiving the right care in the right location.
