VARMFRONT Power Banks (M5200mAh and 10400 mAh) recalled due to potential fire hazard

Issue

Faulty battery cells inside the power bank have the potential to overheat and melt, posing a potential fire hazard.

Affected products

This recall involves VARMFRONT Power Banks (M5200mAh and 10400 mAh).

The VARMFRONT power bank 10400 mAh is dark blue in colour with article number 00559615 and model number E2038. The affected date stamps for the 10400 mAh power banks are as follows (YYWW): 2313, 2316, 2318, 2319.

The VARMFRONT power bank 5200 mAh is blue in colour with article number 90555651 and model number E2037. The affected date stamps for the 5200 mAh power banks are as follows (YYWW): 2318, 2319, 2322.

Consumers should check the printing on the backside of their VARMFRONT power bank to confirm if their unit is affected.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled VARMFRONT power banks and return to IKEA for a refund or replacement.
