Volunteer members of Halifax Search and Rescue took part in a multiday course focused on “lost person behaviour” recently
Data collected and studied from countless searches in the SAR environment is frequently studied. Information from these studies can share common factors in specific cases, which would include searches for vulnerable people, age of the missing and other factors such as health of the person.
When this information is collected and compared to other searches, helpful patterns may be found that would give SAR a focused structure for performing their duties and ending in a successful search.
