Traffic Delay – Hammonds Plains Road
Location: Hammonds Plains Road, between Yankeetown Road and Voyageur Way
Date: Tuesday, August 15 to Friday, August 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
Work Details: This work is to facilitate paving.
Traffic Impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place.

Traffic Delay – Highway 1
Location: Highway 1, between Margeson Drive and Melham Drive
Date: Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This is for washout repair.
Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and use alternative routes.

Traffic Delay – Woodlawn Road
Location: 44 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth
Date: Wednesday August 16 until Thursday, August 17
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is to install a natural gas pipeline.
Traffic impact: There will be reduced lane width while work is underway, with two-way traffic maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Windsor Drive
Location: 283 Windsor Drive, Stillwater Lake, with the closure in place between Knight Bridge Drive and Manchester Drive
Date: Thursday, August 17, until further notice
Time: 24/7
Work details: The closure is necessary to assess and make repairs to the bridge near 283 Windsor Drive due to the storm damage caused by the floods in July. These repairs support the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: The nature of the work requires that a section of Windsor Drive be closed to all vehicles. Detour signage will be in place for all users for the duration of the closure. Traffic will be detoured onto Buckingham Drive while work is underway.

Traffic Delay – Navy 10K Run
Date: Sunday, August 20
Time: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Details: Residents can anticipate traffic delays along the race route.
Traffic impact: Participants will begin the race at the corner of Gottingen Street and Bloomfield Street. Participants will proceed south on Gottingen Street, turn west on Black Street, turn north of Fuller Terrace, west on Bloomfield Street, and north on Agricola Street.
Participants will then veer right onto Highland Avenue before continuing north, then turning west on Normandy Drive, south on Rosemeade Avenue, west on Hillside Avenue, north on Robie Street, east on Leeds Street, and then south on Novalea Street/Gottingen Street. Participants will finish the race at the starting point. Participants completing the 10K will repeat the track a second time.

Road Closure – Duffus Drive
Location: Duffus Drive from Rocky Lake Drive to Rocky Lake Drive
Date: Wednesday, August 16 until Friday, August 18
Time: 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (excluding weekends)
Work details: This work is for pavement maintenance, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Duffus Drive from Rocky Lake Drive to Rocky Lake Drive will be closed while work is underway. Local street access will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay –Breeze Drive/Caledonia Road
Location: Breeze Drive/Caledonia Road from Stanfield Avenue to Waverley Road
Date: Tuesday, August 15 to Friday, September 22
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday
Work details: This work is facilitate natural gas pipeline installation.
Traffic impact: Lane drops and stop-and-go traffic will be required while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible.

Traffic delay – Micmac Boulevard intersection
Location: Micmac Boulevard intersection, at mall entrance
Date: Tuesday, August 15
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate traffic signal repairs, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: The traffic signals at the intersection will be flashing red while work is underway. Motorists are reminded that red flashing is a four-way stop. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Main Street
Location: Main Street, between Caledonia Road and Booth Street
Date: Tuesday, August 15 to Wednesday, August 23
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weekdays only)
Work Details: This work is related to utility service connections as part of Nova Scotia Community College Akerley campus developments.
Traffic Impact: Lane closures will be in place and two-way traffic will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible. Sidewalks will remain open.

Traffic Delay – Intersection of Chebucto Road and Swaine Street
Location: Intersection of Chebucto Road and Swaine Street
Date: Monday, August 14
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work includes asphalt repair, in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Beechville Days Parade
Date: Saturday, August 12
Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Details: Residents can anticipate traffic delays and street closures along the parade route.
Traffic impact: The parade will form at the end of Horseshoe Lake Drive and St. Margarets Bay Road. The parade will then continue west on St. Margarets Bay Road, and then turn on to Oliver Street.
St. Margarets Bay Road, between Horseshoe Lake Drive and Oliver Street, will be closed for the duration of the parade. Motorists looking to access Bayers Lake, or other points east of the road closure, must use Timberlea Village Parkway and Highway 103 during this brief event.

Location: Cathy Lane and Selig Street
Date: Monday, August 14 to Friday, September 22
Time: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays only
Work details: This work is for pavement maintenance, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Cathy Lane and Selig Street, from Nova Terrace to Astral Drive, will be closed while work is underway. A signed detour route will be in place. Local street access will be maintained, and the sidewalks will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Lily Lake Road, from Ruggles Road to Route 362, is closed for a culvert replacement until Friday, August 18.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Cloverville Road, Cloverville
Cloverville Road, 150 metres south of Walsh Post Road, is closed for a culvert replacement until August 31.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Salt Springs Brook Bridge, Trunk 7
Salt Springs Brook Bridge on Trunk 7, about four kilometres south of the Town of Antigonish, is reduced to one lane until further notice for repairs.
Temporary traffic signals are in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trunk 4, Antigonish
Trunk 4 will be closed, except to local traffic, between James and Church streets until September 16 for construction of a roundabout.
Detour signs are in place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 105, North Sydney
The intersection of Highway 105 and Tobin Road is reduced to one lane for roadwork until September 29.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Sydney River Bridge, Sydney River
Sydney River Bridge on Keltic Drive is reduced to one lane until August 28.
Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During evenings and weekends, temporary condition signs, such as uneven lane surface, will be posted.
Traffic control is in place. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take an alternate route.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are on Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October for work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fountain Road, South Middleboro
Fountain Road, between Hunter Road and Simmonds Road, is closed for removal and replacement of the Howard Bridge until October 31.
Traffic will be detoured from Fountain Road via Simmonds Road and Keers Mill Road.
Vehicles more than four metres wide need to plan an alternate route because of the width of structures on the detour route.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Brookville Road, Brookville
Brookville Road is closed at Brook Road for bridge repairs until September 29.
A detour is in place.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

RICHMOND COUNTY: West Bay Road, Port Hawkesbury
West Bay Road, from Nature Dream Boulevard, easterly for 3.8 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until September 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30, easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until September 29.
