Bedford Outdoor Pool reopening
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Bedford Outdoor Pool, located at 277 Shore Drive, will reopen to the public on Wednesday, August 2.
Municipal staff have been working to clean-up and repair the damage caused by the recent weather event and we are pleased to continue providing meaningful recreation programming to the Bedford and surrounding communities for the remainder of the summer.
Residents are also advised of the following programming updates:
- Drop-in swims are now available for booking through myREC.
- Swimming lessons will resume on Wednesday, August 2. If residents have previously been scheduled to participate in Session 3 lessons at the Bedford Outdoor Pool, they will be contacted by the municipality’s aquatics staff to reschedule.
- Any previously booked weekend one-hour private pool rentals, up to and including Sunday, August 6, will be cancelled and refunded. All other private pool rentals for August will continue as scheduled.
- The Bedford Beavers will resume their normal swim practices, and municipal staff are in the process of rescheduling their swim meet.
