Police lay drug trafficking charge

Halifax Regional Police has charged a man with drug trafficking in relation to a search that occurred in Halifax earlier this week.

On July 19 at approximately 8:45 a.m., members of the Quick Response Unit conducted a search of a residence in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street in relation to an ongoing investigation. Investigators arrested a man at the residence without incident and seized a quantity of cocaine.

A 50-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
