Some blood collection appointments cancelled or redirected
Update – KINGSWOOD GUARDIAN (3 KINGSWOOD DR.) IS OPEN REGULAR HOURS ON MONDAY, MAY 29. NS HEALTH APOLOGIZES FOR THE ERROR.
Issues relating to the ongoing fires in Halifax and Western Zone are forcing NS Health to cancel or redirect blood collection appointments today.
St. Margaret’s Bay Blood Collection, 5110 St Margaret’s Bay Rd suite 204, Upper Tantallon, is closed due to smoke in the building. Signage has been placed at this location and patients are being redirected to the Bayers Road Blood Collection clinic for their appointments.
In Western Zone, all routine blood collection appointments are cancelled today at the following sites:
- Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg,
- South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater,
- Roseway Hospital, Shelburne
- Queens General Hospital, Liverpool and
- Our Health Centre, Chester
Nova Scotia Health is working to call patients directly to advise of the cancellation. Patients are being asked to rebook.
